For any man that wants that special something, that one sure thing, in their closet, there’s nothing like the pinstripe suit. If men’s suits had personality, the pinstripe would be the godfather of men’s suits. It is appropriate for any occasion, formal or informal, but carries with it that extra bit of grit that takes control of the room and simply exudes self confidence.
What Are You Saying With Your Pinstripe Men’s Suit?
Your clothing is always talking, like it or not. It’s telling your story, providing first impressions, and raising awareness of who you are. In other words, every time you get dressed, you are branding yourself. What are you telling the world about your confidence? Your vision? Your dependability? Your tenacity? Do you think all of this can be revealed in your style? We know it can.
First of all, the fact that a man takes care of himself and has a sense of style says that you’re serious. You know who you are, you know what you want, and you’re ready to go out and get it. Whether you are in a business meeting with a potential client or a job interview, having a pinstripe suit says, “I’ve been in the game for a while and I know what I’m doing.” How can it possibly say all this? A pinstripe suit isn’t generally a man’s first suit. A man “grows into the guts to purchase a pinstripe suit.” Generally, a man is a bit of a suit connoisseur, or at least knows something about style, before he purchases his first pinstripe. So, just think, when you step out in your gray or black pinstripe, you’re telling the world that you’re comfortable in the corporate world and you’re ready for action.
If there is one word that can describe the men’s pinstripe suit, I’d say it’s confidence. You just look like you’re the man in charge when you’re wearing your pinstripe suit. As a side note, pinstripes also make you look taller.
Where Can You Wear the Men’s Pinstripe Suit?
Pinstripe suits are ideal for a wide range of occasions, including the following:
- Weddings
- Funerals
- Business Meetings or Dinners with Clients
- Formal Dinner Parties
- Special Occasions, Evening Parties
- Las Vegas or any trip where you’ll be out on the town
There are a few places you may not want to wear your men’s pinstripe suits. Not because you wouldn’t look absolutely dashing, but because of the somewhat overdressed factor:
- Bars and Clubs (in your town with friends)
- Casual dates or any morning or early afternoon event
Also, just remember to adjust your level of formality according to the occasion. Remember, no matter how cool you look, if your buddies are all wearing chinos and sweaters and you show up wearing a pinstripe suit, there’s going to be some level of awkwardness. Yes, you always want to be yourself, but also take the event and the rest of the crowd into consideration when choosing your wardrobe.
